BUGZ!
Last Tuesday night, a swarm of bugs took over Cimarron
Elementary! After practicing and rehearsing for over a month, first grade
debuted their musical, “Bugz,” for their friends and family members. The show
brought a packed house and these kiddos did not disappoint!
Each 1st grader made their very own costume and
just about every type of bug was in attendance—butterflies, bumble bees, fire
ants, dragonflies, and MANY more!
The students sang their hearts out to songs about bugs
taking over a picnic. The girls charmed the audience with their song “Be a
Lady” while the boys belted “March of the Army Ants.”
The following day, these hard working first graders were
able to show off their musical during the school day in TWO performances for
the rest of the student body! I know that my class was VERY excited to wear
their costumes at school!
All of the first grade teachers are SO PROUD of our students
for putting on such an amazing show! The kids had so much fun learning these
songs, rehearsing and performing that there may have even been some tears when
it was all over. However, as our bugs would say, “Don’t worry little stinkbug—it
will all work out for you!”
